In many ways, Oceana sort of helped kick off the entire St. Pete Beat music video series.  The four-piece were one of the first subjects of Ryan Zarra’s La Blogotheque-inspired performance series, and now the band has returned to put session “∞” (although we’re counting it as No. 25) to tape.

Shot in a room that was reccommended by Oceana’s own Alex Schultz, the nearly seven-minute clip finds the band working their way through a new song filled with horn lines that guide a staggered drum part through a slow-building, driving composition.  Have a look above, then see the band at St. Pete Beat’s first ever event — an art show at Cafe Bohemia featuring work from Emily Miller and Cody Williams plus music from Oceana, The Happiness Machine, and Archaic Interest.  More information on the May 18th show can be had at the calendar page.
