WATCH: Paul Baribeau – “Strawberry” (Live at Transitions Art Gallery – 05.06.12)

I want to explore you. With my tennis shoes off. Standing ankle deep in a tide pool, with my khaki pants rolled up.
- Paul Baribeau (“Strawberry”)
There really aren’t alot of wholesome, innocently fun things that happen on the Interwebs at 3 a.m., but when Ryan Zarra from St. Pete Beat swoops into your inbox to drop a late-night video of Michigan-based folk troubadour Paul Baribeau performing one of his best-est songs within the walls of one of Tampa’s best-est venues, you stay the hell up.
LOOK: PAUL BARIBEAU AT TRANSITIONS ART GALLERY 05.06.12
The clip perfectly captures what’s like to be in a crowd, looking past someone else’s noggin, and singing along to a song you’ve shouted over and again a thousand times before. In short — it’s the shit. So here it is (it couldn’t have happened more than a few hours ago — just look at Nicole’s pictures from the show by following the link above), here it all is, in it’s very own HD wonderment. Also, here is a picture of Baribeau with his fresh FL Tour Newbs.

Both reportedly had great sets as people were buzzing about both when I arrived just in time for Super Bobby to take the stage (check out the photos here). (UPDATE: St. Pete Beat has sent in a sweet clip of Baribeau playing “Strawberry” at Transitions — check it out here.) [...]
