Things are going pretty well for Lucero these days.  They just released their ninth LP — Women & Work — via ATO Records, and the Memphis, Tenn.-based sextet just celebrated their 14th year of bandom with a sold out show at the Magic Stick in Detroit, Mich. on April 13.

SUB AP! CALENDAR: LUCERO AT STATE THEATRE 05.25.12

A month before that frontman Ben Nichols and the boys kicked off a tour supporting Women & Work with a show at Headliners Music Hall in Louisville, Ky.  The two-hour set finds the band tearing through cuts like “Nights Like These,” “Drink ‘Till We’re Gone,” and “All Sewn Up.”  Lucky for you someone taped the whole damn thing and has posted it to the Internets.  We’ve got it streaming below, but you can do youself one better by catching the band on one of their upcoming Florida dates.

The first one happens tonight when Lucero plays Café Eleven in St. Augustine (with Gainesville’s Whiskey & Co.) before swinging through Orlando’s Beacham Theater on Thursday night (with Bartender Brian and The Soul Rebels) and arriving right here in our neck of the woods on Friday night with a show at State Theatre in The ‘Burg.  Our neighbors to the north get treated to two more shows as the tour stops at Gainesville’s Double Down Live (with SubAp friends, the Snakehealers) and Pensacola’s Vinyl Music Hall on May 26 and May 27, respectively.
