When Krisp‘s Mamani EP comes through speakers, it’s hard not to imagine a glitzier, more-ass shaking, singing version of Athens, Ga.-based instrumental rock ourfit Maserati (who actually play in town on November 2).  It’s not a knock on our neighbors to the north, but Krisp — a four-piece based out of Miami, Fla. — just seem to have a more danceable brand of disco-influenced rock & roll.  They recently posted a live video that finds them performing an new song — “Riverside Strangler” — and they come to New World Brewery in Ybor City on November 10.  The clip is available up there and a stream of Mamani is available below.  More information on the show can be had at our calendar page.
