Rusko set to blow roof off re-christened Amphitheatre on May 5, download free tracks

Cinco De Mayo may be about all things Mexican, but the folks at Insomniac, Bassrush, and Sunset events, want you to go English on May 5 when they bring Mad Decent wonderboy (and fried chicken connoisseur), Rusko, to Ybor City in the hopes that he will blow the roof off of the re-christened Amphitheatre.
The last time the 26-year-old – whose real name is Christopher Mercer – made it to Cigar City, was for a free Scion Radio event at Czar way back in January 2010, and while admission to the upcoming set isn’t gratis, advance tickets are currently pirced at only $15. Mercer is currently supporting his latest single, “Everyday/Lick The Lizard,” the latter of which he coincidentally played at that Czar show over a year ago. Expect more fresh tracks from the Leeds native at the Amphitheatre show as he delivers bowel-shaking bass from a new stage set that he previewed a few months ago.
