“I’ve never seen anything quite like this…”

It was a magical musical March evening at the Masquerade Atlanta featuring Texas Is The Reason, Into It. Over It. and Look Alive. I hope you were there and this post brings you back to that evening but if you weren’t, this post will give you a taste of the magic and affirm that Texas Is The Reason is still very much “at the heart of my [and your] everything.”

Reunions are funny – sometimes they are purely an opportunity to relive glory days and hopefully make some money that wasn’t made the first time around. However, the real magic happens when a band that is someone’s current obsession, one that they thought they would NEVER get to see, is right there in front of them playing live. I would go so far as to posit that “it’s days like this that keep me alive.” The best part about this show was how the preponderance of the audience was seeing Texas Is The Reason for the first time.

Happily I’ve been lucky enough to see Texas Is The Reason 5 times in the past six months (three times at REV25 NYC and REV25 Chicago). With only two more US dates so far on the TITR 2013 calendar – March 29th in San Francisco and March 30th in Hollywood – this show might have been my last time seeing them. Sad Face. Into It. Over It.

Doesn’t Evan look like he is up to something?

Into It. Over It. first popped up on my radar when Evan did a series of Florida dates with SubAp favorites, Fake Problems and You Blew It. Since then, Into It. Over It. has garnered a bevy of fans and toured extensively playing shows all over the place including the legendary Topshelf Records Generator Show at FEST 11. On this night, Into It. Over It. had a dedicated fan club up front singing-a-long and requesting songs from the vault and he deftly won over the newbies. Right now, Into It. Over It. is finishing a new record and I cannot wait to hear it!
