LOOK: The Bouncing Souls + The Menzingers + Luther at The State 06.15.12
The Bouncing Souls play a super fun show at The State Theatre, St. Petersburg, FLA on June 15, 2012. I’ve been a fan of the Bouncing Souls since high school… while in college, I saw them in many times and missed a few (they were supposed to play in a Minnesotan corn field in the Summer of 1996 but had to cancel). But sadly, I haven’t seen them in years – the last time was their awesome halloween show at Fest 7 (awesome costumes!). So, it was grand to finally see them at home in Tampa Bay. The Bouncing Souls are touring for their new record, Comet. It’s awesome – pick it up at your favorite indie record store today – GO!
The St. Pete show at The State Theatre was extra long filled to the brim with a delectable mix of old and new tunes – check out the set list below:
Last week I was at Rev25 (review coming soon) where the dearth of women was painfully obvious, so it was extra cool that this show had a plethora of women up front and many of them were stage diving – repeatedly. That’s awesome! Unsolicited advice – if you are going to stage dive, try to wear pants and a shirt. Trust me… it makes for a less exhibitionist jump.
