At the end of Sleepy Vikings‘ show at New World Brewery in Ybor City, Fla. on July 14, 2012, a bright red drum kit sat vacant, the slight warmth on the drum stool the only sign of the instrument’s now departed human companion. Sadly, Saturday night is going to be the last time that setup sees it’s companion — Ryann Slauson — sit behind it in a long time. The band still has one more show with Slauson (Antiwarpt on July 29), but the band officially bid farewell to their longtime drummer with a very well attended show at one of Ybor City’s most special venues.

Joining the hundred of bodies who packed into New World that evening were Sleepy Eye Giant and Spies On Bikes, who played support on the bill.
