The son of a contemporary classical composer, Frank Heiss started playing drums when he four-years-old. The now Boston-based producer played timpani in the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of New England Conservatory and even took one of his bands — Conjunction Junction — on tour with Phish in the 1990s.
He began composing electronic music in the early 90s and went on to sign a deal with Liquid Sky Music who released several releases under different monikers.
He arrived at Drum And Bassment at the Ybor City Social Club last night, and Brian Mahar was on hand to catch a few shots of him — along with Thee Joker and Baker Acted — at the show. Have a look and listen to “Captive Mind” below.
