In the age of the MP3 and free streaming, there are still bands committed to putting out the highest quality physical product, and next week will see a spectacular example of that as two of Orlando’s best indie-pop outfits — The Pauses and Great Deceivers — will be releasing a 12″ split via New Granada Records.

Only 500 luck folks will be able to actually get their hot little hands and turntables on the record, but in t he spirit of cooperation with the internets, there are two songs from the release streaming online.  Have a listen to “The Beginning Of Things” from The Pauses and “Phantom Strength” from Great Deceivers below.  Preorders for the split are going on here, but if you’re the type who likes a little live music with your shopping, then head out to New World Brewery on Saturday night where both bands will be celebrating the release IRL (“in real life” for those of you smart enough to not get too deep in this webspeak).  To sweeten the deal, Greymarket will also be on the bill playing a homecoming show.  More information on the show is available by following the link to our calendar above.
