LISTEN: Saskatchewan – “Venom”

It was only fitting that Orlando, Fla.-based synth-pop outfit Saskatchewan would drop their latest effort — “Venom” — in the middle of the night last week.  The band — who last wowed us with their dependably spellbinding set at Antiwarpt — craft dreamy  compositions full of sweeping waves of electronic synth backed by reverbed samples that are front and center in the mix along with singer Chandler Strang’s hushed vocal.  Have a listen to the track below and grab a pay-what-you-want download of “Venom” at Bandcamp.  After that, get all your ducks in a row for  the band’s next Bay area show (they play Crowbar as a part of Guavaween 2012) by visiting the calendar page.
