LISTEN: Red Rock/Its – The Benefit

We were really tempted to post all of The Owsley Brothers’ music for streaming in advance of their show at New World Brewery on Saturday night, but we figured we better make you aware of the other bands that make this bill one not to miss.

The Laurel Canyon’s recorded output on the interwebs consists of just one live recording (so you can check out shots from their recent show with Your 33 Black Angels), but luckily for you and your rainy Wednesday morning, Brooksville, Fla.-based Red Rock/Its have some tunes streaming/screaming on their website.

The band is made up of Robert Gambino and Allen Adams who play an electrified blend of delta blues laced with sensibilities of mid 50s rockabilly.  Plain and simple, it’s the blues, but a look back at modern history proves that the blues runs through the veins of damn near every good song ever put to tape.

Have a listen to Red Rock/Its nine-tack LP — The Benefit  — below, then get more information on the show at our calendar page.
