LISTEN: Hundred Waters – Hundred Waters LP

Remember last January when we were all pumped about Hundred Waters playing Rock The Park? Well, a whole s***load has happened to the Gainesville, Fla.-based orchestral pop outfit since then. Their uniquely intricate, yet immeasurably passionate and heartfelt arrangements caught the attention of the nation and the sextet eneded up joining the likes of Diplo (another FL boy done good), Skrillex, and Grimes on the Full Flex Tour, which happened on a damn passenger train. Our inbox has been flooded with well-deserved PR praise about the band since.

That tour apparently went really well as it landed them a deal with Skrillex’s record label — OWSLA — who subsequently released a remix EP (featuring the talents of TOKiMONSTA, Star Slinger, AraabMuzik, to name a few) for Hundred Waters’ song “Thistle,” which also happens to be the fourth track on the band’s brand new, self-titled debut LP.
Hundred Waters may have just seen digital release on Tuesday (physical release happens in October), but we wouldn’t be surprised if it’s in the conversation about the best Sunshine State album of the year. What’s more is that Hypem has the whole shebang streaming on the interwebs.
