LISTEN: Day Joy – “Go To Sleep, Mess”

There must be something in the water when it comes to Orlando, Fla.-music.  Yesterday we posted on a new EP from Roadkill Ghost Choir, and today another central Florida band, Day Joy, once again dominates our feed as their new single — “Go To Sleep, Mess” — is streaming below.

It is the titular track from the band’s upcoming LP (tentatively set for a March 2013 release via Small Plate Records) and finds principal songwriters Michael Peter Perceval III and Michael Serrin flanked by bandmates – Travis Reed, Artie Burer, Adam Ibrahim — who help the duo add more hypnotizing layers of sonic goodness to the band’s already ethereal sound.

Have a listen to the track below, then help the band pick a color for their new vinyl (choices below the stream), by interacting with them on Facebook.  If you haven’t had a chance to listen to Day Joy’s Animal Noise EP, then do yourself a favor and stream at this previous post.
