In less than just 100 hours, Merge Records recording artists The Mountain Goats will be appearing at Crowbar in Ybor.  And while their latest LP — All Eternals Deck — is almost a full year old, our friends at Consequence of Sound have just pointed out that the band — frontman John Darnielle, bassist Peter Hughes, and percussionist Jon Wurster — is hard at work on some new material (check out a new jam — “Diaz Brothers” — in the video below), which is set to be released on an album tentatively titled Transcendental Youth.
