Remember last April when Reptar sent Antiwarpt late-nighters off with a dance party for the ages? Well, the Athens, G.a.-based outfit has more good news for ‘yer happy ass, and while it doesn’t come in the form of a tour stop, it does get you a new tune for your hard drive. Streaming below is “Orifice Origami” — the lead single from the band’s forthcoming debut LP — Body Faucet (out May 1 via Vagrant).
It kicks off with some talkbox-y blurps and unfolds into a four-minute celebration of sound that finds singer/guitarist Graham Ulincy spitting his joyously infectious warble over distant organ swirls and more of the danceworthy guitar licks and piano stomps that we’ve come to love and expect from the band. Take a look at the single’s artwork above, then have a listen below. Grab a free download at Reptar’s Facebook page.
