The Glitch Mob announce new EP, badass light show for July 13 appearance at Czar

Peeking Into Coyote Gulch

The Glitch Mob’s remix of The White Stripe’s “Seven Nation Army” is tight, and while it seems like their last LP – last year’s Drink From the Sea – came out ages ago, Ed Ma, Justin Boreta, and Josh Mayer have just announced that they’ll give their fans a little something hold them over until a proper sophomore LP hits the shelves.

Consequence of Sound points out that July 12 will see the release of a three-song EP, We Can Make the World Stop, and before you get all hot and bothered that it’s only three songs, take this series of fun facts into account:

For starters, the Los Angeles-based trio has just kicked off a nearly 40-date tour that features four Sunshine State stops (including a July 13 show at Czar and an appearance at Langerado in October), and the New Broward Times reports that the Mob’s current stage show will feature a visual and light show designed by Martin Phillips and John McGuire – aka the dudes responsible for Daft Punk’s infamous light up pyramid.  “I think we just got lucky.  I think it was fun for him to work on something for a smaller scale.” said Boreta.  “ It’s going to be fucking cool and crazy.”
